As the result of the Utah ABCD II project, many practices that were involved in one of three learning collaboratives have an increased screening for social emotional delay, maternal depression. Practices have recognized the need to improve relations between and among providers and continue to work on pathways to succeed in this. Utah has experienced a marked increase in new collaborative projects including partnerships with Utah 's Early Childhood Comprehensive Systems (ECCS) project, Utah Department of Health's Office of Home Visitation, the Utah Governor's Child and Family Cabinet Council and the Governor's Early Childhood Commission. The Utah Department of Health's Integrated Medical Home Project continues to work with practices on improving care coordination and communication. Over the next five years Utah's early childhood projects will focus efforts on expanding mental health integration to primary care and early care and education settings, expanding evidence-based home visitation, and a replication of Connecticut's Help Me Grow model.
